Annika, ruiner of fun
Inspired by our weekend visit to a carnival, Ian decided to create his own ride.Yesterday I was doing some cleaning upstairs when I heard him yelling, "Annika, you are always trying to ruin my fun!" He apparently was trying to tie a Rubbermaid tub to the ceiling fan with shoestrings. He then planned to get in the tub and turn on the fan- Whee! I am glad the fun-ruiner stopped him.

Park time
We were getting ready to head to the park and I gave Elizabeth a shirt to wear. She was crying and very upset because the shirt wasn't 'pretty.' Drama. Ian tried his best to bring some reason to the situation:
"Elizabeth. It's not like you are going to meet your husband at the park. You are too young for that anyway."
That didn't help much, but adding a few accessories (ribbon in the hair and sunglasses) seemed to somewhat compensate for the ugly shirt. Which by the way is not the slightest bit ugly, in my opinion.
When we got to the park, Barry mentioned he had some tennis balls he could give us. And when you give a girl (Annika) some tennis balls, she is going to want to walk back home to get a racquet. So we did. And it was well worth it. That girl loves her tennis.
